Agents: Edit or Turn off Notifications

Agents can edit, turn off or unsubscribe from notifications they receive on their own searches or on their clients' searches.

What notifications does Zenlist send me?

You will receive notifications (where you have them enabled) from Zenlist for the following situations:

  1. Notifications for actions taken by a Feed Member, which included your clients and Co-agents. These notifications include saved listings, tour requests, new Tour Folders, new saved searches, etc.

  2. Notifications for listing activity, which includes new listings that match your criteria, status changes, price changes, upcoming open houses, etc.

Zenlist sends two types of notifications as well, email notifications and push notifications.

What is the difference between email and push notifications?

An email notification is delivered to the email address used to create your account.

Push notifications are sent to the app on your phone, typically appearing on your home screen or notification center. They look and feel like text messages without the need to bog down your text message folder(s).

How do I set default notification preferences?

You can update your default notification preferences by going to your account settings in the bottom left-hand corner if you are on a laptop or computer and the bottom right-hand corner if you are on our mobile app.

Once on your Account Page, you will click on "App defaults".

Note: These preferences will only apply to your clients moving forward and will not be applied to any of your existing client feeds.

How do I update my notifications preferences on an individual client feed?

You can update your notification preferences for each individual client feed by opening the "..." menu to the right of each client's name. From there you click on "Agent notifications" and update your preferences.

Can I update the notifications sent to my client?

No, your client is the only one who can adjust their notifications.

Pro Tip: You can see how your client has set up their notifications inside of the activity log.

I have my notifications turned on, but I am not receiving notifications. What gives?

There can be many reasons why your notifications are not sending as expected! I recommend double-checking your device's permissions for the Zenlist app to ensure we have permission to send you push notifications as well as your email account's spam folder.

What are some examples of notification preferences and how to set them up?

Example: I want to be notified when my client interacts with a listing, but not for each new listing that is sent to them. How do I set this up?

You will want to leave the main toggle ON for notifications from this feed, but turn OFF the listing alerts types.

You want your preferences to look like this:

Example: I check my app frequently and I don’t want to be notified of anything at all. How do I turn these off?

You will want to turn OFF the email and push notifications.

You want your preferences to look like this:

Example: I do not want any emails, push notifications only, please!

You will want to turn OFF the email notifications and then update your preferences for push notifications.

Example: I do not want any push notifications, email notifications only, please!

Example: I want my default notifications to apply to my clients, but I do not need the same notifications for my personal agent feed. How do I set this up?

Of course! You will want to set your default notification preferences inside of your Account Page and then update the Agent Notifications inside the "..." menu to the right of your agent feed.
